I am a Year 7 student in the Uru Mānuka Cluster. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
My name is Shannon, and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.
Your wave looks spectacular! It looks so rough and stormy, the perfect recipe for waves of that size compared to the little boats! I agree wholeheartedly, your boats look far more realistic and stand out more compared to in the original. I also like how you’ve made the mountain green. It stands out against the blue of the rest of the painting.
Have you ever seen waves like that? I’ve seen slightly smaller ones at beaches. I love going to the beach, though not in stormy weather like in your painting. My favourite part is building sandcastles! I like to collect shells to decorate my castles and usually try to build a moat around the edge as well. What do you like to do at the beach or swimming pools?
Good job on starting the Summer Learning Journey, I look forward to seeing all your future blog posts! What activities are you most excited for?
Hello Devaani. I REALLY like the way you have made the waves look like they are angry. The boats remind me of sharks coming out of the water. I think having the white curls on the top make the waves stand out and remind me of the waves at Kaka Point. I used to love walking along the beach and the waves licking at my ankles. Have a wonderful Christmas and holiday. I look forward to seeing more of your holiday learning.
Hello Devaani. I was just checking your blog to see if you had completed any new SLJ activity. I can't wait to see what other work you have been doing.
